If you have never tried the body butters from The Body Shop before, then I suggest you run out and get one pronto. I am in love with them. Well, more specifically, this one.
If you know me then you'll know I love any thing peachy.
(MAC Peachykeen blush, Clarins Peach Essential Water .... you get my drift)
The peach scent is so intense as well, it lasts on my skin for hours.
I warm the product up in my hands before applying to my skin just after I get out of the shower or bath (as with any moisturiser). I find that when my skin is still warm and slightly damp it absorbs better.
This product owes its consistency to the cocoa and shea butters it contains.
It literally melts into your skin and delivers great moisturising properties.
My skin is left smoothed, soft and glowing for hours.
I love anything French. The language, culture, beauty products, perfume, Eiffel Tower, Paris, Provence, decor. You name it, I love it! I have loved France since I was 11 and my local school offered a term of lessons for $10. Off I went every Monday after school to attend many repetitive classes of 'qu'est-ce que c'est dans le sac?' and 'frere jacques'. Back then all I wanted to do was go to France on an exchange for a year. Sadly that never happened but I'm still eagerly awaiting the day I'll get to hop on that plane to Charles De Gaulle. In the meantime, I've kept my thirst for France quenched with books, products and trips to La Cloche .
On my dresser here you can see my framed picture of la Tour Eiffel, amongst many other goodies. My dresser is my favourite place to house all of my special bits and pieces. Well, that is until my vanity table arrives! How positively french of me to sit at a purpose-built table and set out all of my pretty things. I'm so excited!
(I spy with my little eye, a photo of my brother circa 1999) Lately I've been making an extra large effort to keep my nails looking top-notch.
Really, it was an excuse to show off three of my new polishes!
I've been holding onto whatever is left of the summery weather by wearing gold, pink and a splash of green thrown in for good measure.
OPI's 'Up Front & Personal' and 'Strawberry Margarita' are two very fun shades.
Up Front & Personal is the first gold shade I've found that works well with my 'peaches and cream complexion'.
It's not too yellow, it's more of a white gold and I like that about it.
Sorry about the quality of this picture! Don't take photos at 11pm ha :)
Strawberry Margarita has quickly become my favourite pink. Very bright, fun and flirty!
'Thames' is the second polish I've purchased from the Butter London range. The first I bought was 'Tramp Stamp'. I bought that shade last year and haven't even used it yet! Oooops. *slaps wrist*. Must do.
Anyway, 'Thames' looks fab on me. It enhances my natural colouring and tbh just looks plain hot. Now I was a bit iffy about wearing a green polish to work, but this shade is all class baby. Very shimmery and well worth the moolah.
My only gripe with this is that three coats is imperative to achieve any sort of good result. Usually I'm a two-coat-and-go kinda gal.
